Enterprise Sales Management automatically decides how to process your requests based on how many assets you select:

- If you select a small number of assets, Enterprise Sales Management migrates the order immediately (synchronous processing).
- If you select a large number of assets, Enterprise Sales Management migrates the order in the background (asynchronous processing) and notifies you when it's done.

Your admin controls the exact number of assets that triggers background processing. For details, see [Configure the Asset-to-Order Migration Threshold](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.comms_configure_asset_to_order_migration_threshold.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "As an admin, configure the threshold that determines whether Enterprise Sales Management processes an asset-to-order migration immediately or in the background.").
