# Segment Activation for Consumer Goods Cloud

After you create a segment in Data Cloud, you can publish it to a Data Cloud activation target.

### Required Editions

Your segment publishes on the next publish scheduled for the selected activation target. When a segment is published to the Data Cloud activation target, the Audience DMO is updated with the activated records. To view these records, go to the Data Explorer page and select the corresponding Audience DMO.
