# Trip List-Based Visit Planning

Use trip lists to plan visits based on a predefined sequence of customers. You can also use trip lists to create visits for the same customers in the same sequence on a regular basis. You can plan trip list-based visits for a specific day or week.

### Required Editions

Sales Reps can have all trip lists over a period of 28 days available on their device. The system determines the validity period of trip lists as: (Trip\_List.Valid\_From <= current date - 14 days) and (Trip\_List.Valid\_Thru >= current date + 14 days). You can plan trip list-based visits from the weekly view.

1. In the weekly view, tap the menu, and then select **Create Visits Via TripList**.
2. Drop a trip list to a day of the week.
3. Enter a date.
4. To create a visit that takes a complete day, tap **All Day**.
5. To change the visit type, tap **Call Type**, and then select a different template.
6. Confirm your selection.
    
    If the trip list is valid for the selected date, the system creates a visit for each day of the week as specified in the trip list. For each customer of the trip list, the system creates a visit based on the visit template and the customer sort order that you defined in the trip list. The system automatically assigns jobs to the visits.
