# Start a Visit

Before you leave the warehouse and start a visit, complete all the Start Tour Activities. Until these activities are completed, all visits assigned to the tour are in read-only mode. Also, you can have only one visit in progress across multiple tours.

### Required Editions

1. Start a Visit from the Delivery Cockpit
    - On the Delivery Cockpit header, tap **Start Visit**.
    - On the Visit Summary card in the Delivery Cockpit, tap **Start Visit**.
2. Alternatively, to start a visit from the Tour Cockpit
    - On the Your Visits card, from the context menu for a visit, tap **Start**.
    - On the View Agenda page, from the context menu for a visit, tap **Start**.

After you start a visit:

- The status of the visit changes to In Progress in the Visit Summary card on the Delivery Cockpit.
- The visit status icon changes in Your Visits card on the Tour Cockpit.
- The app updates the Actual Start Time on the Visit Summary card.

- Edit the visit in progress by creating an order.
- You must complete the in-progress visit before you can start another visit.
