Before you initiate inventory check-in, make sure that:

- All visits are canceled or completed and the tour is in Running status.
- At least one checkout document is released for the tour.

Look at these considerations when you initiate an inventory check-in:

- You have multiple options to check-in inventory. You can check-in all the remaining products from the delivery, or can check-in only selected products (such as damaged or returned) and use the remaining products in the truck for the next tour. In such cases, you must declare all remaining quantities as Left on Vehicle (LoV) during the check-in process. Another situation where you must declare the LoV is when you have less or more products in the vehicle than expected.
- You can’t have multiple check-in documents in progress. You must release a check-in document before starting another check-in‌.
- The display and the behavior of the Reason Type field on the Product Check In page depends on the Consider Modification Reason and Modification Reason setting in the order template set by the admin. See Check-In Intiation section in [End Tour Configurations](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.cg_reference_admin_configurations_end_tour_for_mobileapp.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
- Check-in is a required step for tour-based inventories and an optional step for vehicle or user-based inventory.

1. On the Tour Cockpit, tap **Check in products** from the End Tour Activities card.

On the Inventory Overview page, all the checkout and check-in documents for the tour are sorted and listed in descending order of the document creation date. You can view documents in Initial, Released, or Canceled state.
2. On the Inventory Overview page, tap on the **Create** button and select the document type as **Product Check In**.

Products are grouped at a brand level and are prepopulated with quantities in all relevant units of measure. The app shows an additional row for each inventory type of the product such as sellable or damaged.
3. On the Product Check In page, select a product. Alternatively, use the search bar to look for a specific product name, product number, or GTIN and select the product.

The check-in, expected, Left on Vehicle (LoV), and difference in product quantities appear for all relevant units of measure.
4. Validate the product quantities and if necessary, adjust the product quantities depending on the truckload.

The app automatically calculates and shows the difference (Check in Qty + Left On Vehicle (LoV) - Expected Qty) quantity for each listed Unit of Measure (UoM).
5. If there’s a difference in the quantity, select the appropriate **Reason Type** and tap **back**.
