# Transfer a Promotion with a Tactic

Mark a TPM promotion template, its tactic template, and a tactic as transferrable, then edit the source promotion so a corresponding sellable promotion is created and kept in sync in RE.

### Required Editions

Make sure that the anchor customer of the TPM promotion and the target customer in RE have the same transfer record identifier and are unique within a sales org. You can update the transfer record identifier in the Customer Extensions object. The source TPM promotion that you’re transferring has at least one associated tactic (marked as included) and the target RE promotion has an associated tactic template.

Important As RE supports one tactic for a sellable promotion, you can transfer only a single tactic per TPM promotion.

After you set up a TPM promotion template, its associated source tactic template, and the source tactic in the Trade Promotion Management promotion as transferrable, a sellable promotion record is created in RE and every change to the TPM promotion is reflected in the target RE promotion.

1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Promotion Templates**.
2. Select a TPM promotion template, and then click **Edit**.
3. In the Promotion Transfer section, select Is transfer Relevant.
    
    The TPM promotions associated with the promotion template are transferable only when the Is Transfer Relevant field is marked as Yes.
4. Enter the transfer lead time and transfer follow-up time.
    
    The TPM promotion’s Date From must be within the duration (in days from the current date) defined in the Transfer Lead Time and Date Thru must be within the duration (in days from the current date) defined in the Transfer Follow Up Time.
5. Select a transfer sales org.
    
    You can select the same sales org or a different sales org. After you save the changes, the Transfer Sales Org field is non-editable.
6. Select a target promotion template.
    
    The target promotion template is the RE promotion template and must be a part of the Transfer Sales Org.
7. Select the transfer relevant phases.
    
    Only the TPM promotions in the selected phases are transferable.
8. Save your changes.
9. In the Related List Quick Links section on the Promotion Template page, select **Tactic Templates**.
10. Select the tactic template of the tactic that you want to transfer from the list of tactics.
11. In the Promotion Transfer section, select the target tactic template.
    
    The target tactic template is the RE tactic template and must be a part of the Transfer Sales Org selected in the Promotion template.
12. Save your changes.
13. On the Promotion Template page, in the Related List Quick Links section, select **Tactic Templates**.
14. Click **View** for the tactic that you want to transfer.

    Important You can mark only one tactic per promotion as transferable and only the tactics marked as included in the promotion are transferable.
15. On the Promotion Template Tactic Template page, select Is transfer Relevant.
16. Save your changes.
17. From the App Launcher, find and select **Advanced Promotions**.
18. Select the source TPM promotion, and then click **Edit**.
19. Make the relevant changes, and then save your changes.
