# Set Up a Route Sales User

Create or clone a user profile to set up a route sales user in Consumer Goods (CG) Cloud. Then assign the route sales user permission set. This setup enables the user to manage and carry out retail store activities using the CG Cloud mobile app.

Consumer Goods Cloud doesn't provide a separate user profile for route sales users out of the box. Incase you want to clone, you must have an existing user profile in the org.

If you're upgrading to the Consumer Goods Cloud Winter ’26 managed package, upload the RetailRouteSalesData static resource files. - Verify that a custom role mapping for Route Sales User exists in Custom Role User Mapping. See [Review Custom Permission User Role Mappings](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.cg_concept_admin_offline_app_custom_user_role_mapping.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "With custom permission user role mapping, users can access the required features or processes they need for their role on the Consumer Goods Cloud mobile app. When you install the Consumer Goods Cloud managed package, the user role mapping is done automatically for custom permissions if you run the PostInstallDemoSetupDataBatch Apex class. If you're a customer who's upgrading the managed package, the user role mapping is done when you manually upload the demo data through Static Resource files for the release.").

1. Assign the CGCloud Retail Route Sales User to the user. See [Assign Permission Sets to Managed Package Users](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.cg_concept_admin_offline_app_permsets.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Give users access to specific features and functions without altering the existing profiles of the users.").
2. In Sync Configuration, assign the Route Sales sync configuration to a role or directly to the user. See [Map Users, Roles, and Profiles](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.se_task_sync_map.htm&language=en_US&type=5).

The Route Sales sync configuration makes sure that the data is synced to the Consumer Goods (CG) Cloud offline mobile app. The CG Cloud offline mobile app syncs data based on ‌tracked objects, named queries, and named fetch trees mapped to the sync profile. Once the permission set and sync configuration are mapped, the user can carry out the configured retail store activities.

If necessary, change the design contract for consumption experience on the mobile app to carry out order activities.
