For personal tasks and to-do lists that must be completed before a due date, create user task records. Supervisors can create user tasks, and then assign those tasks to their reps. Reps can create user tasks for themselves. A supervisor can monitor a rep’s task and track its status.
Required Editions
You can add tasks if you’ve a user accountable record.

- From the App Launcher, find and select Tasks, and then click New Task.
- Select the User Task record type, and then click Next.

Field Description Task Information Name Name of a user task. Assigned To Individual to whom a task is assigned. By default, a task is assigned to the individual who creates it. Type Type of task. The options are:
- Inquiry
- Complaint
- Order
- Placement
- Service
- Vehicle
- Time Entry
- Training
- Company
- Private
Due Date Date by when a task must be completed. Related To Object to which a task is associated. This attribute is used only with the Consumer Goods Visit Execution app.
To update this field, select an object, and then select a record. For example, select the Assets object, and then select the Refrigerator record.
Task Record Type Record type of a task. Subject Subject of a user task. The options are:
- Call
- Send Letter
- Send Quote
- Other
Accountable User who's accountable for a task. By default, the field is populated with the logged-in user's name. Priority Priority of a task. The options are:
- High
- Normal
- Low
Status Status of a task. The options are:
- Not Started
- In Progress
- Completed
- Waiting for someone else
- Deferred
