# Create a Tactic Template

A tactic describes an action or a procedure as a step in the execution of a promotion. Use tactic templates to create tactic types. Display each template with a different user interface to maintain different attributes for different tactic types.

### Required Editions

1. From App Launcher, find and select **Tactic Templates**, and then click **New**.
2. Provide these details:

    You can use only the tactic templates that are assigned to a promotion template to create tactics.
