Number definitions automatically generate unique identifiers for business objects, such as new order entries or promotions.

- From App Launcher, find and select System Numbers, and then click New.

Provide these details:
Field Description Name System-generated unique identifier of the number definition. Usage Process for which the number definition is used. The options are:
- Cash Invoice
- Credit Invoice
- Non-Valuated Delivery Note
- Valuated Delivery Note
- Order Confirmation
- Delivery Note
- Invoice
- Credit Note
- Order Entry
- Tour
- Service
- Fallback Number
Active Indicates whether the number definition is active. Warning Limit Minimum limit of the number range. System Fallback Number List of system numbers defined in the System Numbers Master. Sales Org Sales org of a number definition. Owner Owner of a system number. -
Save your changes.
Note: A counter runs out of numbers when it reaches its Max Value or can't grow beyond its segment's configured length. If you set a System Fallback Number, the app switches to that definition automatically and keeps numbering. If you don't set a fallback, or the fallback also runs out of numbers, the app can't generate the number, and it writes the failure to the device log.
