# Create Product Templates for Consumer Goods Cloud

Product templates are the blueprints for creating products. Product templates specify the basic characteristics of products that can be created by using a template.

### Required Editions

1. From App Launcher, find and select **Product Templates**, and then click **New**.
2. Select a record type, and then click **Next**.
3. Provide these details:
