Create Org Units

You need org units to create an org unit hierarchy. Create an org unit based on territories or virtual structures, and define the org type and org level per your business needs.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled
User Permissions Needed
To create org units:

CGCloud Business Admin

OR

CGCloud Retail Business Admin

  1. From App Launcher, find and select Org Units, and then click New.
  2. Enter a name for the org unit.
  3. To specify the org unit as the main org unit, select Main.
  4. Select an Org Type:
    • Sales
    • Service
    • Marketing
  5. Select an Org Level:
    • Client
    • Sales Organization
    • Sales Office
    • Sales Rep
  6. Select a sales org.
  7. Enter a description for the org unit in the languages configured for the sales org.
  8. Save your changes.
