# Create Conditional Questions

Create dynamic questions to save time and avoid confusion. A child question is shown only if the condition for a parent condition is fulfilled. For example, for the parent question, Number of POS in the store? if the field rep selects 1 as the answer, the child question that appears is, Is the POS working fine?

Here are a few things to keep in mind when you create conditional questions:

- You can’t mark a question record that contains a condition question as Save Presetting.
- If the selected job definition template is removed, then the precondition, the operator, and the answer are also removed.
- If the precondition is removed after defining the condition, then the answers and the operators are removed.
- If a condition is defined, then you can select an operator value. Otherwise, specify the operator value as None.
- If the sort number of a question is changed, then the condition is updated based on the new sort number.

1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Activities**.
2. Select an activity.
3. In the Questions related list, edit the question that you want to be the child question.

Note Ensure that the sorting value of the child question is greater than the sorting value of the parent question.
4. In the Condition Settings section, select a parent question, an operator, and the answers that field reps can choose to meet the condition.

During a visit, the parent question is shown in the questions list. If the answer entered by a rep matches the defined condition, then the child question is shown. The answers of the selected question are defined in the Data Type Options of the job definition template.
5. Save your changes.
