# Add Promotion Lock Status

Add the promotion lock status setting to enable your users to delete promotions in any phase.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Custom Settings, and then select **Custom Settings**.
2. Find System Setting and click **Manage** next to it.
3. On the System Setting page, click **New**.
4. Enter RE\_Promotion\_Lock\_Status as the name of the setting.
5. Click **Save**.
    
    The lock status setting is added with the Value field set to empty. Your users can now delete a promotion in any phase.
