# Add Values to Asset Status Picklist

You can manually enhance the Asset object by adding picklist values to the Asset Status picklist.

### Required Editions

1. From the object management settings for assets, go to Fields & Relationships, and then perform these steps.
    
    1. Click **Status**.
    2. In the Asset Status Picklist Values section, click **New**.
    3. Add these picklist values.
    
    - Active
    - Inactive
    - Damaged
2. For Record Type Name, select **Asset Custom**.
3. Save your changes.
