1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Assessment Indicator Definitions**, and then click **New**.
2. Enter the name and description of the indicator.
3. Select an indicator field type.

The options supported are Number, Boolean, Date Time, Text, Decimal, or Picklist.
4. Save your changes.

You can associate an Assessment Indicator Definition (AID) with Assessment Task Definitions (ATD) that define the RSKPIs.

- **[Define Picklist Values for an Assessment Indicator Definition](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.cg_retail_task_user_create_aidv.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
An Assessment Indicator Definition (AID) supports a single-select picklist option. With Assessment Indicator Defined Values (AIDV), you can define the picklist options for a picklist AID. As part of AIDV, you define the picklist option (in the Value field) and the sequence number that determines the order that the options appear in during a visit.
- **[Define Target Values for a Picklist AID](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.cg_retail_task_user_create_aiv.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Use Assessment Indicator Values (AIV) to define the targets (in Retail Store KPI) and capture the actuals (Retail Visit KPI) for an Assessment Indicator Definition (AID) of the type Picklist. Set the target value as AIV in Retail Store KPI by associating the corresponding AIDV for a Picklist AID. When you select a picklist option and provide the actual value during a visit, the system automatically associates the AIV (actual) with Retail Visit KPI.
