Essentials for Tour Drivers During Van Sales Deliveries

Keep these considerations and limitations in mind when you, as a tour driver, carry out the van sales deliveries for a tour on the Consumer Goods offline mobile app.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled

Visit Start and End

  • When you complete a visit, the app auto-syncs your tour data.
  • An error message is shown when you try to end a visit with open orders.

Invoice Generation

  • The paid amount and balance are visible only for a cash invoice.
  • The final invoice is stored as a PDF attachment to the order on the CG Cloud desktop app.

Available Inventory (Stock) for Products in Van Sales Orders

  • The Stock field indicates the number of products available in the inventory. Stock for each product is shown depending on the inventory configurations. The stock field is used to filter inventory. To know more about inventory setup, see the inventory transaction creation section at Configurations for Tours on the Consumer Goods Cloud Offline Mobile App.

Signature in Van Sales Orders

  • Signature for orders depends on the signature workflow configuration. You can skip adding a signature when there is no signature workflow set up for the order by the admin. For orders that have a signature workflow configuration, you can’t release an order without a signature. See the signature section at Configurations for Tours on the Consumer Goods Cloud Offline Mobile App.

Search Filters for Add Product Page

  • The Competitor Product filter on the Search page doesn’t apply to DSD scenarios and doesn’t filter products for van sales orders.
  • When the Inventory Filter on the Search page is set to:
    • On: The Add Product page only shows products present in the inventory.
    • Off: The Add Product page only shows order products that are not part of the inventory.
    • Ignore (Default): The Add Product page shows all the configured products for the order.

Order Release

To release an order that has activated payment collection, the Total Value must be greater than 0. If the Total Value is 0 or negative, then the Paid Amount for the order is set to 0, Payment Collected? field is set to No, and you cannot release an order. This doesn’t hold good for orders where payment collection is not activated (for example, return or advertising orders).
