To generate an accurate invoice, advanced pricing checks for relevant existing conditions for
the combination of customer and product and then calculates the conditions in the correct
sequence. Invoice is a legal document. So country-specific legal requirements are
recorded.
You can initiate order calculation in these ways:
- Manually using the Calculate button: The button is visible only if the Compute Price field
is set to Offline (Button) in the Price Control Settings section for the order
template.
- Automatically by direct calculation: Calculation is initiated automatically when an order
is edited. The order template determines the configuration settings for calculation.
See Attribute Configuration from Order Template for more
information.
The accurately calculated result is:
- Visible on mobile devices
- Available for printouts
- Stored in a JSON file, which is synced with the order based on predefined conditions
Order calculation is stopped if mandatory conditions aren’t found. For example, if base price
is mandatory for a calculation process, but isn’t available for at least one ordered product,
the order isn't calculated. If the Skip Selectable Promotion option is selected, then the
order items that have a selectable promotion reference aren’t calculated. But the order items
that have auto-granted promotion reference aren’t skipped.
If the Always Calculate option is selected in the order template, then the values are
calculated during evaluation of rewards and hurdles every time an order is updated.
