# Data Cloud One

Data Cloud One connects your primary Salesforce org to a separate companion org. This connection lets users in the companion org view specific data model object data from the home org through shared data spaces, without needing a separate Data Cloud instance.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in Lightning Experience in <strong>Professional</strong>, <strong>Unlimited</strong>, and <strong>Enterprise</strong> Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled.</td></tr></tbody></table>

Note Make sure that you have installed and set up the applicable data kit in your home org.

    Review the license requirements for both the home org and the companion org when setting up Data Cloud One.

    Create the link to the companion org from the Data Cloud One setup menu.
- **[Ingest Data from a Companion Org](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.cg_task_data_cloud_one_configure_companion_org.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**  
    After the connection status is active, complete the companion org setup.
