# Manage a Validation Procedure

Associate compliance controls with a validation procedure. Compliance controls are descriptions of rules that implement compliance requirements at your company.

1. From the App Launch, find and select **Process Compliance Navigator**.
2. From the navigation bar, select **Validation Procedure**, and then select a record.
3. On the Related tab, click the name of the validation procedure version.
4. Click **Manage Procedure**.
5. In the Select Controls section, select the compliance controls that you want to relate to the validation procedure.
6. Save your changes.
    
    If the controls aren’t configured, the IT admin reviews and configures the controls based on the control description.
