# Create a Validation Procedure

Group validation controls by using a validation procedure. A validation procedure includes the steps, processes, and checks that are required to make sure that a business complies with a policy or regulation.

1. From the App Launch, find and select **Process Compliance Navigator**.
2. From the navigation bar, select **Validation Procedures**.
3. Click **New**.
4. Enter a name, API name, and description for the validation procedure.
5. Save your changes.

The compliance officer creates compliance controls.
