Turn on the Regulation and Policy Status Transition and Validation Criteria setting to enforce the status transition criteria and validation requirements for regulation and policy records.
- Considerations
- When the setting is turned on, only valid transitions occur.
- When the setting is off, all status transitions are valid,without conditions.
- Transition and validation criteria applies to individual record updates and bulk updates.
- If a regulation version has two or more published regulation clause versions, each published regulation clause version must be associated with a unique regulation clause record.
For example, when the setting is on:
- You can update the status of a published regulation version to draft.
- You can't update the status of a draft regulation version to active.
- You can update a draft regulation version to published only when all associated regulation clause versions are published or active
