# Map a Regulation Clause Version to an Asset

To improve traceability of assets governed by regulations, and make sure that asset owners can easily access regulation updates, compliance officers link assets to the relevant regulation clause versions.

### Required Editions

1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Process Compliance Navigator**.
2. From the navigation bar, select **Regulation Clause Versions**.
3. Open the required regulation version record page and go to the Asset Regulation Clause Versions related list.
4. Click **New**.
5. Select the asset that you want to map the regulation clause version with.
6. Save your changes.

After reviewing the regulation version, the compliance officer activates it when the effective date approaches.
