  1. From the App Launcher, find and select Accounting Periods.
  2. Click New.
  3. Specify a start date and an end date for the accounting period.
You can't create accounting periods that are longer than a year, or with start and end dates of an existing accounting period.
  4. Specify the financial period in which the accounting period falls.
For example, if the accounting period is for the fiscal year of 2027, enter FY 2027.
  5. Select Open as the Status.
When you create accounting periods, the status can only be set to Open.
  6. Save your work.

The name of the accounting period is automatically generated, combining the specified financial year, start date, and end date.
