# Set Up Record Alerts for Automotive Cloud

Configure record alerts with different severity types so that users can focus their attention on urgent records. Optionally, customize the Omnistudio FlexCards and the Omnistudio Integration Procedures components.

### Required Editions

Keep the following in mind when you work with record alerts:

- To set up record alerts quickly, use the Record Alerts Guided Setup in your org.
- You can create records alerts on external objects or Data Cloud objects.
- You can create action plans for record alerts.
- You can’t use Record Alerts in CRM Analytics recipes and you can’t create dashboards that use Record Alerts as a data source.
- Record Alerts are not localized. You can use Translation Workbench to localize the records.

1. Assign users permissions to create and manage FlexCards and Integration Procedures.

4. Create record alerts using the Business Rules Engine.
