For a vehicle to appear in the list, the Financial Account must be linked to it through the chain Financial Account → Financial Account Party Financial Asset → Party Financial Asset → Asset → Vehicle. An admin must also create an Action Launcher Deployment for the pre-repossession action, add the Action Launcher component to the Collection Plan record page in Lightning App Builder, and select that deployment for the component.
You can also start pre-repossession from a Financial Account. Starting from the Collection Plan is the recommended path.
- From the App Launcher, find and select Repossession Console.
- Open the Collection Plan for the delinquent account.
- From the Action Launcher, search for and select Initiate Pre-Repossession Process.
-
Review the list of financed assets tied to the account.
Each row shows the vehicle's Name, Identification Number, Model Name, and Status.
- To narrow the list, search by asset name or identification number.
- Select the checkbox for each vehicle to pursue for recovery.
- Click Submit.
Salesforce creates a Repossession record for the account and a Repossession Item for each selected asset. The Repossession record page opens with tabs including Collections Overview, Collateral, and Assessments.
