# Set Up Repossession Management

Complete these setup tasks in order before specialists work Repossession records. Turn on the feature, assign permission sets, and configure the decision table, milestones, and record pages.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: <strong>Enterprise</strong>, <strong>Unlimited</strong>, and <strong>Developer</strong> Editions.</td></tr></tbody></table>

Complete this setup in Automotive Cloud before specialists work Repossession records. Setup turns on the feature and its components, grants the permissions specialists and reviewers need, defines the notice rules that drive compliance milestones, and adds the components that surface milestones and timelines on the records people work.

1. **[Prerequisites for Repossession Management](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.auto_repossession_prerequisites.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Review the features you must enable and the permissions you must assign to use Repossession Management.
2. **[Enable Repossession Management in Automotive Cloud](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.auto_repossession_enable.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Turn on Repossession Management so users can work Repossession and Repossession Item records.
3. **[Permissions for Repossession Management](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.auto_repossession_permissions.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Assign the Industries Repossession Management permission set to every user for baseline access, then clone it and enable a system permission for each repossession persona.
4. **[Configure Repossession Notice Rules](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.auto_repossession_configure_notice_rules.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Define your organization's notice requirements as rows in the Repossession Notice Rule Eligibility decision table so the compliance framework can determine which notices a repossession requires.
5. **[Add Milestone Type Values for Collection Plan Milestones](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.auto_repossession_add_milestone_type_values.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Add picklist values on the Milestone Type field before you can assign icons or let compliance automation create milestones.

Clone and activate the reference flows that create Collection Plan and Financial Account Milestones from repossession notice logs, and that alert on missing notices.
9. **[Activate the Milestone Expiry Flows for Repossession Notices](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.auto_repossession_activate_milestone_expiry_flows.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Clone and activate the reference flows that automatically expire Collection Plan Milestones and Financial Account Milestones, and set the expiry offset for your business.
10. **[Activate the Promise-to-Pay Hold Flow for Repossession Items](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.auto_repossession_activate_ptp_hold_flow.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Clone and activate the reference flow that automatically places a repossession item on hold when a promise to pay is created against its collection plan.
11. **[Activate the Approval Submission Flow for Repossession Items](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.auto_repossession_activate_approval_flow.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
