# Permissions for Repossession Management

Assign the Industries Repossession Management permission set to every user for baseline access, then clone it and enable a system permission for each repossession persona.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: <strong>Enterprise</strong>, <strong>Unlimited</strong>, and <strong>Developer</strong> Editions.</td></tr></tbody></table>

Repossession Compliance Admin, Repossession Reviewer, and Repossession Specialist aren't separate permission sets. They're system permissions. For each persona, clone Industries Repossession Management and enable the matching system permission on the clone. Then assign that clone instead of, or in addition to, the base permission set.

## Roles and Permission Sets

| Roles and Responsibilities | Permission Sets | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Compliance administrators who configure repossession notice rules and compliance requirements | Industries Repossession Management, cloned with the Repossession Compliance Administrator system permission enabled | Grants access to configure Repossession Notice Rules in the Repossession Notice Rule Eligibility decision table and to manage the compliance framework that drives notice milestones and record alerts. |
| Managers who review assessments and approve or reject repossession requests | Industries Repossession Management, cloned with the Repossession Reviewer User system permission enabled | Grants access to review completed assessments and approve or reject repossession requests. |
| Specialists who manage approved repossessions, assign agencies, and track recovery | Industries Repossession Management, cloned with the Repossession Specialist User system permission enabled (optional) | The Industries Repossession Management permission set grants access to Repossession and Repossession Item records, including agency assignment and recovery tracking in Active Repossession. The Repossession Specialist User system permission is an optional role marker that by default doesn't grant or remove access. Enable it only to identify specialist users for your own reporting or automation. |
| Admins who turn on the feature and configure record pages | None | Not a permission set. Users with the Customize Application user permission can turn on Repossession Management, Repossession Management Components, and Repossession Management Decision Table in Vehicle and Asset Finance Settings (see [Enable Repossession Management in Automotive Cloud](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.auto_repossession_enable.htm&type=5&language=en_US)), and edit Lightning record pages in Lightning App Builder to add the Milestone, Timeline, and Action Launcher components. |

Note To access base Automotive Cloud objects such as Vehicle and Business Profile, also assign the Automotive Foundation User permission set. To use document checklists on Repossession records, also assign the Document Checklist permission set. To use Collection Plans and the Collections Overview tab, also assign the Collections and Recovery Admin or Collections and Recovery Specialist permission set. See [Collections and Recovery in Salesforce](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.collections.htm&type=5&language=en_US). Working with assessments also requires the Industries Assessment and Dynamic Assessment Access permission sets.
