Captive finance teams—the in-house lending arms that automakers and dealers use to finance vehicles—often run repossessions manually across spreadsheets, phone calls, and separate vendor systems. That patchwork creates compliance risk, delays, and missed recovery opportunities. Repossession Management replaces it with a structured process on a purpose-built data model, so collections and recovery teams work faster and stay compliant.
The Repossession Management data model is part of Automotive Cloud. The guided experience centers on delinquent vehicle accounts, and it also supports non-delinquency repossessions such as lease-end, accident, and impound cases. A Repossession record moves through three phases: Pre-Repossession, manager review and approval, and Active Repossession.
What you can do with Repossession Management
Repossession Management guides specialists through three phases:
- Prepare Pre-Repossession Records in Automotive Cloud—gather notices, appraisals, titles, costs, and assessments, and ready the case for review.
- Review and Approve Repossession Requests in Automotive Cloud—a reviewer evaluates the assessments and decides whether the case proceeds.
- Manage Active Repossession and Recovery Agencies in Automotive Cloud—assign third-party recovery agencies and track recovery.
