How Repossession Management Works in Automotive Cloud

Follow a repossession record through three stages, from pre-repossession preparation to active recovery.

Required Editions

Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.

A repossession record progresses through three stages. Specialists prepare the record in Pre-Repossession, a manager reviews and approves it, and an approved record moves to Active Repossession for recovery.

The three-stage repossession lifecycle: Pre-Repossession, Manager Review and Approval, and Active Repossession.

Pre-Repossession

Monitor delinquency, implement compliance controls, assess financial viability, appraise vehicles, verify titles, capture recovery costs, and complete structured assessments.

The specialist gathers the context needed to decide whether to pursue recovery and to prepare the Repossession for review. See Collections Overview on the Repossession Record, Repossession Compliance Framework in Automotive Cloud, Vehicle Appraisal for Repossession in Automotive Cloud, Collateral and Title Management for Repossession, Recovery Cost Tracking for Repossession Items, and Assessments for Repossession.

To begin, see Start Pre-Repossession from a Collection Plan.

Manager Review and Approval

Completed pre-repossession assessments are submitted for manager review. A reviewer accepts or rejects each response with comments; rejected responses return for rework.

See Manager Review of Repossession Assessments and Review and Approve a Repossession Request.

Active Repossession

On approval, assign a third-party recovery agency and track recovery. A specialist assigns one or more recovery agencies to each repossession item and coordinates recovery.
