See whether a repossessed vehicle is worth recovering, and manage the title documents needed to sell it, all from the Collateral tab.
Required Editions
| Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions. |
The Collateral tab on the Repossession record groups the vehicle's information into cards, which repeat per repossession item.
- Basic Information card — asset, VIN, vehicle registration number, make, model, repossession item, and stage; plus derived figures: repossession cost, appraisal value, recovery estimate (appraisal value minus repossession cost), and loan-to-value.
- Associated Asset Documents card — documents by name, type, category, status, and created date.
- Appraisal card — the vehicle's appraisal value and details. See Vehicle Appraisal for Repossession in Automotive Cloud.
- Repossession Item Cost card — the itemized recovery costs captured for the vehicle. See Recovery Cost Tracking for Repossession Items.
Note By default, specialists create title documents and verified title records with the standard
record-create experience. Validation is available only when the document validation settings are
enabled.
Document validation
On the Associated Asset Documents card, select Submit to save a document without extraction. To verify a title document, optionally with AI-assisted extraction, see Verify Vehicle Associated Asset Documents for Repossession.
