Salesforce ships Create Repo Hold on PTP as an inactive reference flow. When a Payment Schedule's type is updated to Promise to Pay, the flow finds the associated Repossessions and Repossession Items through the referenced Collection Plan or Financial Account. It then creates a Repossession Item Processing Hold for each item that isn't already on hold.

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Flows, and then select Flows.
  2. Open Create Repo Hold on PTP.
  3. Clone the flow.
Salesforce ships it as an inactive reference flow, so you activate your own copy rather than the shipped version.
  4. Save and activate your cloned flow.

Creating a promise to pay against a collection plan automatically creates a Repossession Item Processing Hold on each repossession item that isn't already on hold.
