Clone and activate the reference flows that automatically expire Collection Plan Milestones and Financial Account Milestones, and set the expiry offset for your business.

Milestones must already be created from Repossession Notice Logs. See [Collection Plan Milestones for Repossession Notices](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.auto_repossession_collection_plan_milestones.htm&type=5&language=en_US).

1. From **Setup**, in the Quick Find box, enter **Flows**, and then select **Flows**.
2. Open **Repossession: Expire Collection Plan Milestones**.
3. Clone the flow.

Salesforce ships it as an inactive reference flow, so you activate your own copy rather than the shipped version.
4. Open the scheduled path **Expiry Date Plus One Day**, and set the **Offset** to the grace period your business uses after a milestone's Expired Date.

The shipped reference uses a 1-minute offset for demo purposes only.
5. Save and activate your cloned flow.
6. Repeat these steps for **Repossession: Expire Financial Account Milestones**.

Collection Plan Milestones and Financial Account Milestones automatically move from Active to Expired on their calculated expiry date, without a separate batch or scheduled job.

Note Scheduled paths run asynchronously, so the actual stage change can lag the calculated expiry time by several minutes, depending on org load. This is expected platform behavior, not a defect.
