Configure your repossession notice rules first. See Configure Repossession Notice Rules. Also add a Milestone Type value for each Repossession Notice Rule and Notice Log notice type on Collection Plan Milestone (and on Financial Account Milestone, if you use it) in Object Manager. This lets the flow set each milestone's type directly. See Add Milestone Type Values for Collection Plan Milestones. If a notice type value is missing on Milestone Type, the milestone-creation flow can't set it, and the Repossession Notice Log fails to save with an INVALID_OR_NULL_FOR_RESTRICTED_PICKLIST error.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Decision Tables, and then select Decision Tables.
-
Activate and refresh the Repossession Notice Rule Eligibility decision table first.
The record-alert flow depends on it and errors if it's still inactive when it runs.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Flows, and then select Flows.
- Open Repossession: Create Compliance Milestone.
-
Clone the flow.
Salesforce ships it as an inactive reference flow, so you activate your own copy.
-
In your cloned flow, set each milestone's Milestone Type directly to the value that matches
its notice type.
Note The shipped flow uses a MilestoneTypeFormula resource that defaults most notice types to one DEFAULT value. As a result, multiple milestones appear grouped under one type on the Collection Plan. Remove that dependency on the formula and set each Milestone Type directly to the value matching its notice type (the same values you added in Add Milestone Type Values for Collection Plan Milestones). Then each notice creates its own individual milestone. - Activate your cloned flow.
-
Open Record Alerts for Repossession Compliance, and clone it the same
way.
This flow triggers when a Repossession is created. It creates a record alert for each required notice type that the decision table flags as missing, and one additional alert when every required notice type has been sent. By default, each alert expires 30 days after creation. Edit the flow if your business needs a different expiry.
When a Repossession Notice Log is created against a matching Repossession Notice Rule, your cloned flow creates a Collection Plan Milestone or Financial Account Milestone based on that log's anchor record, with the Milestone Type set to the value matching the log's notice type. When a required notice's log is missing, a record alert calls out the missing notice type.
