Lifecycle of a Vehicle Loan or Lease Proposal

Dealers can use the Experience Cloud site to explore the various options and offer the best terms for a loan or lease to their customers. They can efficiently collaborate with underwriters to rehash and update proposals by changing the vehicle selected by the customer or by updating the financial terms of a loan or lease. Dealers can also accept or reject a proposal shared by the underwriters.

Note
Note Make sure that your admin has configured the Applicant Revised picklist value for the Selected By field on the Application Form Product Proposal object.

Underwriters, customers, and dealers can identify the proposals at various stages of their lifecycle with the help of specific attributes of the proposals.

Scenario Proposal Status Proposal Stage Proposal Pill
A customer, a dealer, or an underwriter views all loan or lease offers presented during application intake. Inactive Prequalified —
A customer or an agent selects a proposal to submit an application. Active Prequalified Applicant Selected
An underwriter creates or clones a proposal during the decisioning process, reviews the terms, and selects a proposal. Active Final Lender Selected
A dealer rehashes a proposal submitted by the underwriter and creates a proposal with the changes. Active Prequalified Applicant Revised
A dealer accepts a final proposal, revised and submitted by an underwriter. Active Final Applicant and Lender Selected

At any point in time, a single proposal exists in the active status and final stage. When a dealer rehashes the lender-selected proposal that's revised and sent by an underwriter, a separate proposal is created and the lender-selected proposal is set to the inactive status.
