Map Data Use Purposes to Applicants in Automotive Lending

Create a decision matrix to map data use purposes to the different types of applicants for a vehicle loan or lease application. The decision matrix determines the types of disclosures that applicants are required to provide consent for during the intake process. For example, map a data use purpose for an authorization form to primary applicants for both loans and leases, and map a separate data use purpose to co-applicants for loans.

User Permissions Needed
To create a decision matrix: Rule Designer Admin permission set

Enable Business Rules Engine in your org.

  1. From the App Launcher, find and select Lookup Tables.
  2. Click New.
    1. Select Decision Matrix, and then click Next.
    2. Enter the name LendingDataUsePurposes.
    3. Select Standard as the type.
    4. Save your changes.
  3. Go to the Related tab.
  4. On the Decision Matrix Versions tab, click on the LendingDataUsePurposes V1 version.
  5. Click Add Column and provide these values.
    1. For Column Header, enter productId.
    2. For Header Type, select Input.
    3. For Data Type, select Text.
  6. Click Add Column and provide these values.
    1. For Column Header, enter applicantType.
    2. For Header Type, select Input.
    3. For Data Type, select Text.
  7. Click Add Column and provide these values.
    1. For Column Header, enter level.
    2. For Header Type, select Input.
    3. For Data Type, select Text.
  8. Click Add Column and provide these values.
    1. For Column Header, enter dataUsePurposeId.
    2. For Header Type, select Output.
    3. For Data Type, select Text.
  9. Click Done.
  10. Save your changes.
  11. Click Add Row.
  12. Enter the details.

  13. Add more rows for other combinations of products and data use purposes.
  14. Save your changes.
  15. Activate the version.
