Create a Custom Object to Store Predictive Maintenance Information

Create a custom object in Automotive Cloud that stores key information related to a diagnostic code and its related information, such as the estimated time required for repair, maximum and minimum cost of repair, and the type of issue. When Qualcomm Car to Cloud shares event data, Mulesoft uses the information in this custom object to share details about an estimated repair with the customer.

Required Editions

Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.
User Permissions Needed
To create custom objects: System Administrator
  1. In Object Manager, click Create | Custom Object.
    1. For Label, enter DTC Mapping.
    2. For Object Name, enter DTCMapping.
    3. Fill out other details as required.
    4. Save your changes.
  2. Click Fields & Relationships.
  3. Click New.
    1. Create a Text type field.
    2. For Label, enter Name.
    3. Save your changes.
  4. Click Fields & Relationships.
  5. Click New.
    1. Create a Text type field.
    2. For Label, enter Description.
    3. Save your changes.
  6. Click Fields & Relationships.
  7. Click New.
    1. Create a Currency type field.
    2. For Label, enter Maximum Repair Cost.
    3. Save your changes.
  8. Click Fields & Relationships.
  9. Click New.
    1. Create a Currency type field.
    2. For Label, enter Minimum Repair Cost.
    3. Save your changes.
  10. Click Fields & Relationships.
  11. Click New.
    1. Create a Number type field.
    2. For Label, enter Estimated Time In Days.
    3. Save your changes.
