User Permissions Needed
To assign permission sets: Manage Profiles and permission sets AND Assign permission sets
To turn on Tax and Revenue Management: Customize Application AND Modify All Data permissions

Admins can turn on Tax and Revenue Management when their profile includes Customize Application. Users who set up Data 360 also need the Data Cloud Architect permission set.

  1. Confirm that each admin user's profile includes the Customize Application and Modify All Data permissions.
The System Administrator profile includes this permission. A standard user profile doesn't. Without Customize Application, the user can't turn on Tax and Revenue Management.
    1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission Sets, and then select Permission Sets.
    2. Find Customize Application and Modify All Data, and assign them to the appropriate users.
  2. For users who configure Data 360, such as creating data streams, identity resolution rules, or data governance policies, also assign the DataCloudArchitect permission set.
    1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission Sets, and then select Permission Sets.
    2. Find DataCloudArchitect, and assign it to the appropriate users.

To assign permissions to taxpayer portal users, create the taxpayer portal site first, and then Assign Permissions to Taxpayer Portal Users.
