# Create a Recruitment Requisition Record

Create a recruitment requisition record to trigger the automated Slack channel creation flow for your hiring team.

Before you begin, complete the steps in [Recruitment Slack Collaboration Prerequisites](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.aps_slack_recruitment_prerequisites.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Set up the required connections, permissions, and Slack channel configurations before your team can collaborate on recruitment in Slack.").

1. From App Launcher, enter Talent Recruitment Management.
2. To the right of the Home tab on the Talent Recruitment Management page, click the Navigation Menu arrow (⌄), and select **Recruitment Requisitions**.
3. In the upper right corner of the Recruitment Requisition listview page, select **New**.
4. Complete the required fields, and **Save**.
    
    The Create Recruitment Requisition Slack Channel flow runs based on the Approval Status field. By default, the flow runs when Approval Status changes to Draft.
5. Open Slack and locate the new channel created by the flow.
    
    The channel name matches the associated recruitment requisition record name, and can be customized.

The auto-created Slack channel has the recruitment requisition record details, which you can view and edit from Slack. When you view the record from your Salesforce org, the Slack conversation for that record is visible from your org.
