# Applicant Consent and Communication Preferences

Collect consent from job applicants to include them in recruitment campaigns and coordinate future outreach to candidates in your talent pool.

Applicants can provide their consent at two points in the recruitment journey:

Profile creation

When applicants create or update their profile on the career site, they indicate whether they want to receive recruitment-related communications.

Application intake

When applicants submit a job application, they confirm their consent as part of the intake form.

## Consent Records

When you enable Talent Recruitment Management, Salesforce creates the records that support consent management for applicant communications. These records integrate with Agentforce Marketing, enabling recruiters to segment candidates.

| Object | Purpose |
| --- | --- |
| Communication Subscription Consent | Stores the applicant's consent status and preferences |
| Contact Point Email | Stores the applicant's email address for communications |
| Communication Subscription | Defines the subscription type (for example, Recruitment Email Subscription) |
| Communication Subscription Channel Type | Links the subscription to a communication channel |
| Engagement Channel Type | Defines the medium that's used to engage with applicants |
