# Add External Storage Search to a Record Page

Add the Amazon S3 Search Results component to a Lightning record page so that users can search files associated with the current record.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small permission">
        <colgroup>
          <col style="width:50%">
          <col style="width:50%">
        </colgroup>
        <thead class="slds-text-title_caps ">
          <tr class="">
            <th scope="colgroup" class="slds-cell-wrap" colspan="2" style="text-align:center;vertical-align:top;" id="d31797e38">User Permissions Needed</th>
          </tr>
        </thead>
        <tbody>
          <tr class="">
            <td data-label="User Permissions Needed" class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;" headers="d31797e38 ">To edit Lightning pages:</td>

            <td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;" headers="d31797e38 ">Customize Application</td>

          </tr>
        </tbody>
      </table>

Before you begin, connect and test the external search service.

1. From Setup, open the Lightning record page in Lightning App Builder.
2. From the component list, drag the **Amazon S3 Search Results** component onto the page.
3. Optionally, set **Minimum Relevance Score (%)** to a value from 0 through 100.

    To show all returned results, leave Minimum Relevance Score (%) set to its default value of 0.
4. Optionally, set **Maximum Search Results** to a value from 1 through 100.

    The default value is 100.
5. Save and activate the page.

The component works only on a record page because it searches files associated with the current record.

Users with the required permissions can now search files associated with the record.
