# Agentic Application Intake for License and Permit Applications

Applicants complete license and permit applications in one guided flow, with an agent alongside to answer questions and help them fill in fields.

Applying for a license or a permit often means filling in the same details across several forms. Agentic Application Intake replaces that with a single intake flow. Applicants answer pre-screening questions to find out which licenses and permits they need. They then complete one application and get help from an agent without leaving the page. Agentic Application Intake stores the intake data on the Application Form object.

Agentic Application Intake supports these capabilities.

- Pre-screening that identifies which licenses or permits apply to an applicant's situation.
- An agent that answers questions about the application process and guides applicants through fields in their own words.
- Document upload that fills in fields from the contents of the document, using Unstructured Document Processing.
- A save-and-resume option that holds an application in progress until the applicant returns to it.
- Status tracking for a submitted application from the Applicant Portal.

## How Reviewers Work with Submissions

Reviewers open the submitted application on the Application Form record page. The highlights panel and the Details tab show the key fields, including the application stage, and the Related tab lists the records that the application generated. Reviewers approve, return, or reject the application through your agency's approval process.

A returned application keeps its stage and carries a returned flag. It then appears in the applicant's returned applications list, along with the reason it came back.

## What to Know Before You Start

- Agentic Application Intake uses standard Salesforce flows for the intake experience. It doesn't use OmniStudio.
- The Application Form object adds an intake model rather than replacing the earlier one. Individual Application and Business License Application remain available, and applications created on those objects continue to work.
- No new permission set license ships with this feature. Agentic Application Intake uses your existing Public Sector licenses, and Agentforce for Public Sector for Community covers portal users.
