Turn On Advanced Approval Delegation

Give reviewers the ability to delegate their approval responsibilities to another user, group, or queue for a set period or indefinitely.

Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions where Advanced Approvals is enabled

User Permissions Needed
To turn on Approval settings:	Customize Application

Important When you turn on this setting, delegations configured on reviewer user records no longer apply. Reviewers must create Approval Delegation records to set up their delegations.

From Setup, find and select Approval Settings.
Turn on Use Advanced Approval Delegation.
