# Begin Using Advanced Approvals

To efficiently set up and manage your approval strategies, first configure the experience for your team by creating users and assigning permissions based on their persona. Once your users are prepared with the correct access, you must complete the recommended base configuration from the Approvals Settings page to activate the features.
