# Set Up Dashboards

Upload extended metadata (XMD) files to make sure that all custom colors, labels, and quick actions are available for dashboards in Analytics for Health Cloud. Extended metadata (XMD) enables you to customize the formatting of dataset fields and their values in CRM Analytics dashboards and lenses. If you modify the XMD for a dataset, every UI visualization that uses the dataset shows the modified format.

### Required Editions

Important Before starting this task, the dataflow must have finished running at least once.

1. Download the XMD files.
    1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Static, and then select **Static Resources**.
    2. Click **healthcloudwaveresources**.
    3. To download the resources .zip file, click **View File**.
    4. Extract the .zip file of XMD files.

        Note Record the location of the extracted files.
2. Update the datasets.
    1. From the App Launcher, find and open **Analytics Studio**.
    2. Under All Items, click the **Datasets** tab.
    3. Click ![Dropdown](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-ind-health-264-0-0-production-enus/90a9f828-79ab-49cd-ac8c-86e58ef7478e/resources-global/_corporate/images/dropdown.png) next to FinalDashboardDataset, and select **Edit**.
    4. Under Extended Metadata File, click ![Dropdown](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-ind-health-264-0-0-production-enus/90a9f828-79ab-49cd-ac8c-86e58ef7478e/resources-global/_corporate/images/dropdown.png) next to the FinalDashboardDataset.xmd.json file, and select **Replace**.
    5. From the downloaded and extracted zip folder, upload the FinalDashboardDataset file.

        Note The XMD file name corresponds with the dataset name.
