1. Use Experience Builder to add a search component to a page on your site. For details, see [Add a Provider Search Page to Your Site](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.hc_provider_search_experience_cloud_site.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Enable patients to search for providers by adding a search component to an Experience Cloud site and configuring the component.").
2. Create a profile for authenticated users on your Experience Cloud site.
    1. Clone the Customer Community Plus User profile.
    2. Create a user record for authenticated users who log in to an Experience Cloud site. For Profile, select the cloned Customer Community Plus User profile.
    3. If your site uses the Criteria-Based Search and Filter component, assign the Criteria-Based Search and Filter for Experience Cloud permission set to the user record.
    4. In the administration workspace for the Experience Cloud site, in Members settings, select All under Select Profiles, and move the cloned Customer Community Plus User profile from the Available Profiles to the Selected Profiles list.
3. Configure the guest user profile on your Experience Cloud site.
    1. Create a custom permission set that gives read access to the Care Provider Searchable Field object.
    2. In Experience Builder, in General settings, under Guest User Profile, click the profile link.
    3. Click **View Users**, and then click the guest user profile.
    4. Assign your custom permission set to the guest user profile.
    5. If your site uses the Criteria-Based Search and Filter component, assign the Criteria-Based Search and Filter for Experience Cloud permission set to the guest user profile.
4. If your site uses the Criteria-Based Search and Filter component and displays search results as cards, configure the guest user profile with access required for cards.
    1. Create a custom permission set that gives read access to Omnistudio objects. See [Grant Digital Experience Guest Users Omnistudio Access](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.os_grant_digital_experience_guest_users_omnistudio_access_7519.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
    2. Create a custom permission set that gives read access to the Healthcare Provider, Healthcare Practitioner Facility, Member Plan, Operating Hour, and Person Education objects. Also assign read access to the fields used for cards:

        | Object | Fields Used for Cards |
        | --- | --- |
        | Account | Name |
        | Contact | Name |
        | Care Specialty | Specialty Type |
        | Care Taxonomy | Taxonomy Type |
        | Healthcare Payer Network | Network Type |
        | Healthcare Facility Network | Gender Restriction Panel Status |
        | Healthcare Provider | Provider Type |
        | Healthcare Provider NPI | NPI |
    3. In Experience Builder, in General settings, under Guest User Profile, click the profile link.
    4. Click **View Users**, and then click the guest user profile.
    5. Assign your custom permission sets to the guest user profile.
