# Intelligent Document Automation

Simplify the document management process, reduce manual data entry, and get patients the right care and services faster by managing patient and member forms all in one place, from intake through processing. Patients can upload their own documents on an Experience Cloud site. You can route forms automatically to the right queue for faster review and processing in a digital, HIPAA-compliant workspace.

When you bring a patient into a home health service or enroll a patient in a program, putting the patient's information to use can be a disjointed, frustrating experience. 75 percent of all medical communication occurs via faxes, from which someone typically has to manually grab the information and put it in the right place.

Retyping patient data from a fax or PDF into multiple systems just won't do. Whether you're a case manager receiving an enrollment form by email, or tracking down required financial or benefits information, every minute you save on document intake helps get the patient the services they need faster.

Intelligent Document Automation includes a set of capabilities built into Health Cloud at no extra cost to Health Cloud customers. Purchase Intelligent Document Reader with Amazon Textract through Amazon for document routing and text extraction. Intelligent Document Reader with Amazon Textract is available as an add-on license for Health Cloud customers. To update AWS credentials, make sure you have the IntelligentDocumentReaderAddOn license enabled along with the 'Intelligent Document workspace' from HCStarterAddon.
