# Activate a Decision Table

You can use decision tables in expression sets in Business Rules Engine, and in flows only when the decision tables are active.

### Required Editions

Note You can activate decision tables created by only you in your org.

Warning During an activation or refresh action, any ongoing data modifications on the underlying sObject data may not be integrated. To ensure the decision table incorporates the complete and latest configuration, trigger a Refresh action after all updates to the source sObject data are completed.

1. Click ![App explorer icon.](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-ind-business_rules_engine-264-0-0-production-enus/b2d6dd5c-c231-428b-abbf-3dd2cd51a11f/business_rules_engine/images/app_explorer.png), and then find and select **Business Rules Engine**.
2. Click the app navigation menu, and then select **Lookup Tables**.
3. From the list of lookup tables, select the decision table that you want to activate.
4. Activate the decision table.

Note A decision table can take several minutes to get activated. Activating a decision table for the first time triggers a full refresh to populate all rows. Subsequent refreshes are incremental where possible.
