Before configuring this component, make sure you have completed the necessary setup steps for Enhanced Chat, the Agentforce Service agent type, and context passing.

- Set Up an Enhanced Chat Channel. See [Quickly Set Up Enhanced Chat for Testing](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.miaw_setup_stages.htm&language=en_US&type=5) or [Create Your First Enhanced Chat Channel and Deployment](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.miaw_quick_start.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
- Configure the Agentforce Service agent. See: Set Up Your Agent Deploy the Context Passing Framework.
- Deploy the Context Passing Framework.
- Access to Service Starter components in your component palette.

To configure Quick Chat, make your site more interactive. This lets you ask contextual questions without leaving the page. The component connects to your configured Agentforce Service agent to provide AI-powered, relevant answers. You can set the Lightning Web Component (LWC) properties to align with your site’s needs.

A key feature of this component is its unique display configurations:

- Middle: A modal window that appears in the center of the page.
- Side: A panel that slides out from the side of the page.

Important Your site can use either the Context-Aware Quick Chat component or Enhanced Chat component, but you can't use both on the same site. The unique display modes and the highlight-to-ask feature are exclusive to the Context-Aware Quick Chat component.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Digital Experiences , and then select **All Sites**.
2. Click **Builder** next to your site.
3. In the Components panel, search for and drag the **Context-Aware Quick Chat** component onto your page layout.

For a persistent experience, add this to your site's template, for example the footer.
4. Select the **Context-Aware Quick Chat** component on the page to open its property editor.
5. Set the Display Mode to either **Middle** or **Side**.
6. Enter the text for the Ask a Question Label.
7. Provide a Default Prompt to appear in the text input field.
8. Select or deselect the **Enable Text Highlighting** checkbox to control the feature.
9. Use preview mode to test the functionality.
10. Publish your site.
