# Add and Remove Chatter Group Members

Own or manage a Chatter group? Here’s how you add or remove group members.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col style="width:100%"></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: <strong>Group</strong>, <strong>Essentials</strong>, <strong>Professional</strong>, <strong>Enterprise</strong>, <strong>Performance</strong>, <strong>Unlimited</strong>, <strong>Developer</strong>, and <strong>Contact Manager</strong> Editions</td></tr></tbody></table>

1. In Salesforce Classic, go to the group’s detail page, and click **Add/Remove Members**. In Lightning Experience, go to the group highlights panel, and click **Add Member** (your administrator must add this quick action).
2. To filter the list of users, start entering the name of the user you want to add or remove.
3. To add a member, click **Add**; to remove a member, click ![blue X button](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-experience-collaboration-264-0-0-production-enus/1aab5b5e-c990-4b8c-840a-6fb18af49709/collaboration/images/eop_following_on.png). For people who have requested to join, click **Accept** to accept the request, or ![blue X button](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-experience-collaboration-264-0-0-production-enus/1aab5b5e-c990-4b8c-840a-6fb18af49709/collaboration/images/eop_following_on.png) to decline.
4. When you’re finished, click **Done**.
